LIbrary Tutorial

During the library tutorial I found that it was not the most interesting thing to do. In the end I realized that it was a helpful source for anyone who is unfamiliar on how to start a research paper. There were certain things that I previously knew before beginning this tutorial. I had already heard about the online databases, and certain encyclopedias that can help you find valuable information.
There were a few details about how to begin your research that I was unfamiliar with. You should ask yourself certain questions before even begging your search. Some of these questions are; who would know information about this topic? What kind of details are you looking for in your writing? And what do you already know about this topic? Those three questions are major questions that I will ask myself during a research paper.
Another thing that I learned about was information gaps. I learned that information gaps are very common during research papers, but there is a way to fix them. When I use to write research papers I would give up on certain information if I could not find it. I have learned from this tutorial to mix up data bases I am looking at and to try different key words in search engines. Changing the words can give you a drastic difference in what you will find.
I have found this tutorial to be a very good experience. I have learned many different things that will be useful for my research papers in the future.
